Santa Mariña de Carracedo

This church is situated in the parish of Carracedo , at the foot of the legendary Portuguese Camino de Santiago. Since ancient times there were many pilgrims traveling on the road and saw this temple a place to rest and pray. The origins of the temple are uncertain although we are bases that could be linked to a Romanesque church pilgrims. Today we see a sober façade with a semicircular arch and a triangular forntón this that shelters the image of Santa Mariña .

A large baroque tower of two bodies adorns the left of the facade. Attached to the side walls lies the sacristy . In the big atrium we see a small rectory next to a stone cross that lacks the cross and in which we can see drawn on its base figure of the " soap opera " . Next to the church together we can see the ruins of what was once the great rectory that keeps the remains of a large barn belonging to the clergy.
